My top 5 cookbooks!

If you're stuck for any gift ideas, a good book is always a safe bet...I hope you enjoy a selection of what I think is 5 of the best. It's very subjective of course, but I think some of the following books are classics...or at least could still be relevant in many yerars. Let me know what your favourites are?

Jamie's Dinners by Jamie Oliver
Hardcover 320 pages - October 7, 2004

This is another great cookbook put together by Jamie Oliver. A beautifully photographed book that will appeal to anyone looking for healthy no-fuss dinner ideas for the family to enjoy. Excellent choice for beginners!

 

How to Be a Domestic Goddess: Baking and the Art of Comfort Cooking by Nigella Lawson
Hardcover 388 pages - October 3, 2000 ( also available in paperback )

A great book to pick up when you need to bake something sweet for that quick sugar fix, or when you?ve been asked to bring a dessert to a function. The recipes are relatively simple; they are created with the home cook in mind. Once again, Nigella sticks to her unfussy, straightforward approach to cooking. Try the fairy cakes they are simple yet scrumptious!

 

Marie Claire Flavours (Marie Claire Series) by Donna Hay
Paperback 192 pages - May 2004

A great addition to anybody's library. It is yet another example of how Donna Hay puts together these wonderful cookbooks of meals that not only taste great, but look amazing. If you?re a chocolate lover you might want to try these desserts; triple-choc brownies, chocolate sorbet and chocolate pear cake. Beautiful photography, great recipes!

A great entertaining as well as everyday cookbook containing simple and tasty recipes like: lentil, coconut and wilted spinach soup, lemon potato latkes, chocolate banana cheesecake and many more yummy delights. This is a beautifully illustrated cookbook with excellent new veggie ideas with a bit of an Asian flair. A must have for vegetarian and non-vegetarian alike.
