What the proprietor says

FishWorks Cookery Schools are led by Mitchell Tonks, presenter of Carlton's 'Fish Food' programme and author of the 'FishWorks Seafood Café Cookbook'. Mitchell is also founder of the original Green Street Seafood Cafe in Bath which was voted one of the top 50 restaurants in the UK by the Independent Newspaper and winner of the Good Food Guide's 'Best Fish Restaurant 2000'.

These courses are informal and fun, and are designed to give participants the confidence and basic skills needed to select, prepare and cook a wide variety of seafood species. Each course includes time for students to sit down to enjoy what they have created along with specially selected wines to complement each dish.

Each session varies according to that day's catch and any special requests from participants. People attend individually, with partners, colleagues or friends and the courses attract a wide range of culinary abilities.

Our all-day courses are held on Monday from 10am to 4pm. They offer fantastic value at £130 a head - as not only do you learn loads, but you also go home very satisfied after eating around eight different dishes - all accompanied by the finest wines.
