What the proprietor says

This welcoming bakery and cafe draws neighborhood throngs daily, a tribute to Chef Stephane Motir's irresistible confections. From homey oatmeal cookies to jewel-like fruit tarts to elegant handmade chocolates, there is something here to delight any sweet tooth - and it's all made on the premises, fresh every day. Chef Motir's holiday offerings are eagerly anticipated with each coming season: gingerbread houses at Christmas, flourless cakes for Passover, heart-shaped cookies for your Valentine, chocolate Halloween bats, Thanksgiving pies. He also creates luscious cakes to order for birthdays and other occasions.

TriBakery is especially popular for breakfast and lunch. There's always a choice of hearty housemade soups, salads and sandwiches and a daily special like the signature Sloppy Joe. Summertime brings fresh lemonade and fruity shaved ice; in winter, cozy up to a cup of hot chocolate or mulled cider.

Our comfortable, spacious dining room is great for casual dining throughout the day: enjoy pastries or eggs with coffee in the morning, sandwiches and salads with a group of friends for lunch, or cookies and cakes after-school or for an afternoon meeting. A true neighborhood haunt, TriBakery is frequently used for meetings and discussions by local artists, writers and groups. At night, TriBakery is transformed into a lovely spot for private parties and events, with a full bar and food from sister restaurant Tribeca Grill.
